01 - Set the oven temperature to 400°F.
02 - Remove loose outer skins from the garlic head, keeping all cloves intact.
03 - Slice approximately 1/4 inch off the top of the garlic head to expose the tops of the cloves.
04 - Place the garlic head cut side up on a piece of aluminum foil.
05 - Drizzle olive oil over the exposed cloves and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired.
06 - Wrap the garlic head tightly in the aluminum foil.
07 - Roast for 35 to 40 minutes until cloves are soft and golden brown.
08 - Allow to cool slightly; then squeeze the roasted garlic from each clove. Use as a spread or incorporate into dishes.
