# What you need:

→ Base

01 - 3 cups crispy rice cereal squares (such as Rice Chex)
02 - 3 cups corn cereal squares (such as Corn Chex)
03 - 2 cups small pretzel twists
04 - 2 cups salted peanuts
05 - 2 cups bite-sized cheese crackers (such as Goldfish or Cheez-It)

→ Sweets

06 - 2 cups mini chocolate-coated candies (such as M&M's)
07 - 2 cups mini marshmallows

→ Coating

08 - 24 ounces white chocolate chips or white candy coating
09 - 2 tablespoons coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)

# How To:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, add crispy rice cereal squares, corn cereal squares, pretzel twists, salted peanuts, bite-sized cheese crackers, mini chocolate-coated candies, and mini marshmallows. Gently mix to distribute evenly.
03 - Place white chocolate chips and coconut oil or vegetable shortening (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each burst, until fully melted and smooth.
04 - Pour melted white chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients. Using a spatula, quickly and gently fold to ensure uniform coating across all components.
05 - Transfer the coated mixture to the lined baking sheet and spread into an even layer. Allow to cool at room temperature for approximately 20 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
06 - Break the mixture into chunks and transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 1 week.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • You can use up every last bit of those half-finished cereal boxes and leftover holiday candy.
  • It’s dangerously snackable—no one ever eats just one handful.
02 -
  • Once I tried skipping the coconut oil, and the chocolate seized up, turning everything crumbly instead of coated—don’t make my mistake.
  • Toss in the candies last; otherwise, they melt and streak your mix with rainbow swirls.
03 -
  • Chill your mixing bowl in the freezer for a few minutes so the chocolate doesn’t set up too fast on warm days.
  • Sprinkle on some fun candy shapes or colored sugar before the chocolate hardens for a party-perfect finish.
