# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It is the ultimate antidote to a sweltering afternoon when turning on the oven feels like a crime.
  • The crunch of cucumber against the sweet watermelon creates a texture sensation you just cannot get from a leafy green salad.
02 -
  • This salad does not sit well overnight because the salt draws out too much water from the melon.
  • Adding the cheese at the very last minute prevents it from becoming slimy in the dressing.
03 -
  • Keep the ingredients in the fridge until the very last second to maximize that refreshing cold temperature.
  • Tear the mint leaves with your hands instead of chopping them to release more of their aromatic oils.
