15 - 1 cup store-bought or homemade nacho cheese sauce
16 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, diced
17 - 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
18 - 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños, sliced
19 - 1/2 cup sour cream
20 - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
21 - 2 green onions, sliced
22 - 1 avocado, diced

# How To:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F.
02 - Toss fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
03 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned for about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
04 - Add chopped onion and garlic to the beef; sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
05 - Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer 2-3 minutes until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
06 - When fries are done, transfer them to an ovenproof platter or skillet. Evenly sprinkle shredded cheeses over the fries and spoon the beef mixture on top. Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce if using.
07 - Return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
08 - Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, avocado, green onions, cilantro, and dollops of sour cream.
09 - Serve immediately while hot.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The seasoning blend on the fries makes them irresistible even before toppings
  • Everything can be prepped ahead so you are not stuck in the kitchen during the big plays
  • These fries actually hold their crunch instead of getting soggy like nachos sometimes do
02 -
  • Do not put cold toppings on the fries before the final oven melt or everything will get lukewarm
  • Serving these immediately is crucial because the cheese keeps melting and the fries keep losing crunch
03 -
  • Use a rimmed baking sheet or the cheese will bubble over and burn on your oven floor
  • Line the sheet with parchment for easy cleanup if you do not have an ovenproof platter
