Honey Halloumi (Printable version)

# What you need:

→ Cheese

01 - 9 oz halloumi cheese

→ Coating & Frying

02 - 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (or gluten-free alternative)
03 - 2 tbsp olive oil

→ Topping

04 - 2 tbsp honey
05 - 1 tbsp toasted pistachios or walnuts, roughly chopped
06 - 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or mint), chopped
07 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# How To:

01 - Cut the halloumi into 1/2 inch thick slices and pat dry with paper towels.
02 - Lightly coat each slice with flour, shaking off any excess.
03 - Warm olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
04 - Cook the halloumi slices for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
05 - Arrange the fried halloumi on a serving plate. Drizzle with honey, sprinkle with nuts and herbs, and season with black pepper.
06 - Serve immediately while hot.
